Yourself, is made up of many parts.

Self-importance: Whereby you believe that you are more important than everyone else on the planet.

Self-pity: Whereby you believe that the whole world is against you.

Anger: The main exit for loss of personal power and energy.

Envy: Whereby you want what someone else has.

Greed: Whereby you want everything and believe you deserve it all.

Lust: Sexual release of large amounts of personal power and energy.

Sloth: Whereby you don't want to do anything at all.

You have to balance and control all of these parts of yourself in equal measure, as they have a tendency to delude your brain, if you allow yourself to be carried along by any of these parts. You will waste your personal power and energy unnecessarily.
