Your skin colour is determined by where you live on this planet.
If you live in the tropical zones, your skin will be very dark - black, if you live in the temperate zones, you will be white, if you live in the Ice zones, you will be yellow.
Your family will have to live there for a few hundreds of years. Your body accustoms itself to the UV rays from the Sun, as a survival tactic. Your body produces more melanin the hotter it is. To protect it's self.
